He was also an Independent Consultant for CFTE for two Fintech Projects which are: Developing a new customer strategy for Neat bank ASEAN and how AI can de-risk and simplify compliance for NGOs and charity banking.

After taking the AI in Finance, as a CFTE alumni, I have developed self-confidence for any Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning discussions.

Matthew Jackson, Project Manager at FIXFLO

CFTE: What made you choose CFTE?

Matthew: The AI awards and the AI in finance course gave what was a unique real and virtual world crossover. There were a lot of courses but the competition and ability to do some real work made it stand out.

CFTE: Seeing that you’ve now moved into Crypto – how has CFTE supported your professional development? Here you can talk about how your career has developed over the past years since being involved with CFTE!

Matthew: Confidence and having professional contacts with my peers in my previous role from being a CFTE alumni, have developed my self-confidence for any Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning discussions. An example would be my AI in finance project on compliance helped me understand some of the more complicated aspects of remittance regulation and how we can use technology like Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to manage risk.

I have made two major career transitions since AI in Finance and CFTE has been there the whole way. During my career transition, being a CFTE Extrapreneurship alumni, I connected with the hiring manager that helped me to position myself correctly in my current job.

CFTE: How have you applied the skills and knowledge acquired through your experiences with CFTE?

Matthew: Working in the Project Management sector, I need to be across a variety of themes on every project, that is why the CFTE education and courses support this. Overall, the CFTE community has helped develop my career and ability to reach out to people and connections here in Singapore.

CFTE: What did you enjoy the most about the courses?

Matthew: I enjoyed the blend of coursework, videos and quizzes given during the fintech courses.

CFTE: Final question! If you could describe yourself using less than 3 words, what would they be?

Matthew: Digitally innovative and crypto enthusiast.
