CFTE at Money20/20 Asia 2018 – the prelude
Roll out the red carpet because on March 13th the worlds leading Fintech and payment event series will hold their first event in Asia. Money20/20 Asia 2018 will be held in ASEAN Fintech capital, Singapore, a city fast-becoming synonymous with the booming ASEAN marketplace for Fintech solutions.
CFTE at Money20/20 Yet Again
For our part, we’re absolutely delighted to announce that our co-founders Huy Nguyen Trieu and Tram Anh Nguyen have been invited back to speak at the event. Last year, at Money20/20 Europe, they had the honour of becoming became the first couple to speak at a Money20/20 event.
This time around, against the backdrop of Marina Bay Sands, Huy and Tram Anh will speak alongside the industries top name including Ghela Boskovich, Ravi Menon, Anthony Tan and Peter van der Does to name a few.
Tram Anh’s talk
In last year’s event, Tram Anh delivered a highly engaging presentation “Will Your Job Exist Tomorrow” that explored the technology led transformation of finance at the impact this will have on jobs.
This year, true to her roots, she’ll hold an interactive workshop, ‘Future Jobs in Finance, build your Fintech Skillset’ together with Fernn Lim, Head of Culture & Fintech Acceleration, OCBC Fintech and Innovation Group, OCBC Bank.
Both Tram Anh and Fernn have expressed their delight at presenting at this year’s event and in the spirit of disruption have planned a spectacular presentation that promises to bring home their message in a very disruptive way.
and sharing their view on this very relevant topic: “In a tech world, we bet only on people!”.
She’ll tackle one of the most important contemporary challenges facing the banking industry: how to upskill their current employees and find the right talent in an era of digital finance.
Brimming full of excitement, Tram Anh shared a few words about her upcoming talk:
“In a world of human capital, invest in yourself and learn all the opportunities that Fintech world has to offer.”

Huy’s talk
One of the major trends disrupting the finance industry is the rise of the ‘challenger banks’ like Starling Bank and Monzo who are redefining the banking value chain and customer expectations. Naturally, people are very curious. As CEO of The Disruptive Group – an advisory firm and business builder in innovation an finance – Huy himself is building a bank of the future, so it makes perfect sense that they’ve invited him back to deliver a talk on “How to Build a bank from Scratch’.
As an ex-banker and technologist, Huy’s multi worldview of finance will ensure the presentation gives the audience insights into a world very few truly understand and noted:
“What better place to talk about the future of finance than at Money 20/20, and in Singapore?”
