23rd August 2024: Tram Anh Nguyen, Co-Founder of the Centre for Finance, Technology, and Entrepreneurship (CFTE), has been appointed as the Co-Chair of the British Chamber of Commerce – Singapore’s Financial and FinTech Committee. In addition to continuing her leadership at CFTE, Tram Anh will bring her passion to build collaboration with the community to foster innovation and growth between Singapore and the UK’s thriving and dynamic financial services and fintech sector, furthering its mission to foster dialogue, promote collaboration in Singapore’s financial and fintech sectors. Tram Anh’s new role enhances the connection between UK and Singapore’s mission of inclusion in the new digital age of finance, united by a vision to drive inclusive growth and innovation across the industry.
Championing Inclusivity in Fintech
A trailblazer in up-skilling the finance and technology industries, Tram Anh co-founded CFTE in 2017, a global platform designed to bridge the skills gap in financial services and fintech through education at scale. Her work has been instrumental in creating transformative programs that empower professionals with cutting-edge knowledge, skills, and mindsets necessary to thrive in a rapidly evolving digital economy.
She is also the Board Member of EDHEC and serves as a Non-Executive Director and advisory board member, including Elevandi in Japan, a nonprofit organisation set up by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) to foster an open dialogue between the public and private sectors, and is a proud Ambassador for the Singapore Fintech Festival. She was awarded Top 10 Asia Tech Pioneers in the UK’s Entrepreneurial Ecosystem Builders, Top 10 Women transforming Tech. Tram Anh is globally recognised as a thought leader in fintech, frequently speaking at international forums, particularly on adult education and lifelong learning in fintech and financial services.Tram Anh collaborates with governments, regulators, and experts to advance financial education in the digital era.
A leading authority in empowering professionals to thrive with cutting-edge knowledge, skills, and mindsets through transformative Fintech and Finance programs, Tram Anh aims to extend the committee’s impact, also leveraging her extensive experience in capital markets and wealth management, which spans over 18 years at major financial institutions like Standard Chartered Bank and UBS Wealth Management across New York, London, and Asia.

The appointment also amplifies the strong connections between the UK and Singapore as exemplified by the British Chamber of Commerce in Singapore, reflecting her unique dual presence in both markets. As an engaged member of the British Chamber’s Financial and Fintech Committee, she brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to fostering collaboration between these two dynamic financial hubs.
In line with her relentless drive to advance inclusivity, create impactful dialogue, and shape the future of financial services, Tram Anh Nguyen will carry forward this mission through her appointment as Co-Chair of the Financial and FinTech Committee. Her global perspective, born from her French-Vietnamese heritage and extensive experience across London, Singapore, and globally, will undoubtedly lead to transformative contributions in this new role.

A Vision for Inclusive Growth Across Sectors
Tram Anh holds a steadfast commitment to advocating for diversity and inclusion, empowering individuals within the finance sector to reach their full potential. She co-authored the Fintech Job Report, which highlights key findings in the fintech industry, potential job roles, and the employability skills needed for future job creation, influencing the future of fintech education and policy.
Her ambition in this new role is to promote inclusion and access across a wide range of sectors, including financial services, technology, fintech, e-commerce platforms for example, allowing and encouraging new market entrants eager to understand the fintech ecosystem.
It is with this overarching objective to maximise impact, access and equitable benefit to the various stakeholders in this growing sector, that she will commence efforts to achieve a flourishing fintech and financial services sector in the scope of the committee.
