London, UK – April 1, 2024 – The Centre for Finance, Technology, and Entrepreneurship (CFTE), has unveiled a revolutionary compensation model: the option for employees to receive their salaries in Bitcoin (BTC). This forward-thinking initiative not only captures the essence of fintech’s adventurous spirit but also places CFTE at the vanguard of adopting digital currencies in corporate compensation.
Embracing the volatility and potential of Bitcoin, CFTE is charting a new course in how companies interact with cryptocurrency, aligning itself with the future of finance. This bold manoeuvre is not just about keeping pace with technological evolution; it’s a testament to CFTE’s belief in the transformative power of blockchain technology and its potential to redefine financial paradigms.
Echoing the ethos of the Centre for Finance, Technology, and Entrepreneurship (CFTE)’s recent strategic pivot towards an AI-first approach, CFTE’s decision to integrate Bitcoin into its payroll systems heralds a new era for employee compensation. Just as CFTE has fully embraced technology to revolutionise fintech education, CFTE is leveraging Bitcoin to innovate within the realm of employee benefits and compensation.
CFTE envisions a future where financial transactions and compensation are dominated by Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, heralding a new era of digital finance. Our strategic initiatives and future projects are squarely aimed at this vision, making CFTE a forerunner in the adoption of cryptocurrency for everyday transactions.
With this pioneering step, CFTE employees will not receive their salaries in traditional fiat currencies such as the US dollar, British pound, Singapore dollar or UAE dirham, but directly in modern Bitcoins sent to their Metamask wallets.
“Integrating Bitcoin into our salary system is a bold move towards embracing the full potential of digital currencies. I will ask the management to go further and also index out salaries to the share price of OpenAI, so that we can benefit from the Bitcoin Generative AI megatrends,” says Peng Yu, Product Marketing Manager at CFTE.
“The decision to offer salaries in Bitcoin is a testament to CFTE’s pioneering spirit. With very reputable institutions forecasting Bitcoin to exceed $200,000 very soon, we can triple our salaries in just a few months!” notes Piotr, who leads CFTE in the Middle East.
By choosing to pay salaries in Bitcoin, CFTE is not just adapting to the future; we are actively shaping it. We anticipate that our stance will encourage other companies to recognise the viability of cryptocurrencies in mainstream finance, thereby accelerating the global transition towards a more inclusive and accessible financial ecosystem.
Tram Anh Nguyen, co-founder of CFTE, added “Our accountant was initially skeptical when we moved all our treasuries from British Pounds, Singapore dollars or US dollars in Bitcoin. He said that it was too risky, but after going through a workshop on Proof of Work, he saw the benefits of the technology and now tells all his other clients to move to Bitcoin!“
“I’m always afraid to lose the private keys of CFTE’s Bitcoin wallet, and for other multinationals which want to make the jump, I’d suggest to write their seed phrase on a piece of paper and store it in a bank safe” said Huy Nguyen Trieu, co-founder of CFTE.
