London, Abu Dhabi, Singapore, May 2, 2024 – The Centre for Finance, Technology, and Entrepreneurship (CFTE) is thrilled to announce the inaugural Future Skills Forum, convening at the Museum of the Future in Dubai on May 8, 2024. This unique event aims to gather more than 500 policymakers, industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and technologists from across the globe to address the future of skills for Nations, Organisations and Individuals.
The Future Skills Forum 2024 aims to foster global discussions on the future of skills in a technology-transformed era, gathering participants with an average of 10-15 years of experience from sectors as varied as government, central banks, financial institutions, and high-growth tech companies.
“As technology transforms all industries, the role of people has never been more crucial,” remarked Tram Anh Nguyen, CFTE Co-Founder. This event will explore how emerging technologies and innovative strategies can reshape skill sets and competencies across the global workforce.

Full Agenda of the Future Skills Forum 2024
Fintech Ideathon (12:00 PM – 02:30 PM)
Kicking off the day, Fintech Ideathon, in partnership with the Emirates Institute of Finance and led by Saqr Ereiqat, CEO at TradeDog Group, is tailored for young professionals in the UAE. It focuses on helping Emirati innovators to think outside the box, find solutions and pitch their ideas in front of the jury on key areas such as Fintech, AI, Open Banking, and Blockchain.
Policy and Industry Leader Roundtables (03:00 PM – 05:00 PM)
Six consecutive roundtable sessions will start with a keynote from Her Excellency Noura Alblooshi, General Manager at the Emirates Institute of Finance. All of these sessions will feature discussions on pivotal topics by over 80 leaders:
- Bridging the skills gap at the country level (Chair: Dr. Allen Baby, Acting Chief Learning Officer, Emirates Institute of Finance – EIF)
- Future skills in an AI world (Chair: Imane Elmadjoubi, Director, Financial Services Industry – UAE, Microsoft)
- The role of central banks and regulators in upskilling and reskilling (Chair: Nouran Youssef, Senior Financial Sector Specialist, Arab Monetary Fund)
- Creating the workforce of tomorrow (Chair: Arun Mehta, Head of Data Analytics & Artificial Intelligence, First Abu Dhabi Bank)
- Women leadership in AI (Chair: Tram Anh Nguyen, Co-Founder, CFTE)
- Skills for fast-growing startups (Chairs: Nameer Khan, Chairman, MENA Fintech Association and Luke Eley, Co Founder, Canders Group)
These roundtables will offer participants to hear diverse perspectives on the human skills required in a technologically advanced world from thought-leaders and conclude with an exclusive networking session.
After the roundtables, a live edition of the FUMO: Future of Money Podcast, co-hosted by Ronit Ghose, Head of Future of Finance at Citi, and Gaurav Dhar, CEO of Marshal, will be held. This podcast is the leading podcast on the future of money, where each week, more than thousands of listeners tune in to listen to key learnings from stellar industry figures, CEOs and founders such as Ping An, Starling Bank, Polygon or Visa.
Evening Reception and CFTE MENA Office Launch (06:00 PM – Onwards)
The day concludes with a high-profile reception featuring Lord Holmes, Baron Holmes of Richmond, and His Excellency Dr. György Matolcsy, Governor of the Central Bank of Hungary. The reception also marks the official launch of CFTE’s MENA office, celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
