London, 9th March 2022 – Today, cryptocurrencies, NFTs, DAOs are all seen as diversified investments among HNWIs and UHNWIs. To help private bankers have a solid foundation of these fundamental changes in the industry and cater to evolving client needs, CFTE is building the first programme that’s designed for the modern private banker to help understand the latest fintech trends, new ways to manage wealth, new investment products and the emerging UHNWI profiles. CFTE aims to collaborate with thousands of bankers to build the course by encouraging people to share feedback on what they’d like to learn.
| Digital Finance has transformed every avenue of finance and now Private Banking is witnessing a paradigm shift too. 68% of HNWIs hold cryptocurrencies, $22bn was invested in NFTs last year and DAOs are picking up interest among the world’s billionaires. But in most cases, private bankers are not on the same page as their clients. 49% of financial advisors were asked about ‘Cryptocurrencies’ by their clients, in 2021, but not all bankers know enough about the market to guide their clients. It’s perhaps the first time in history where we are in this strange situation where clients know much more than their bankers in terms of new investment products. I am therefore very aware of the changes that technology is bringing to the world of Wealth Management, from New Money created by Fintech Entrepreneurs to New asset classes such as Cryptocurrencies to new Client Interests in Digital Art such as NFT. This can be very exciting, but also very confusing. There is so much noise in that space, is it all hype? Or are there some interesting trends to understand? I believe that for the modern Private Banker, it is essential to understand how this new world of Fintech is transforming the industry, what are these new asset classes emerging, and how clients are changing their behaviour and for anyone to understand this new complex world of investments” To help bankers keep up with the latest developments CFTE is designing the first-ever programme for the modern private banker. The programme aims to be designed in a way to: • Help Private Bankers understand fintech trends like DeFi, Cryptocurrencies, NFTs and more. • Give an understanding of how Fintech and Digital Assets have created new wealth. • Get an overview of the new investment products that exist today. • Learn how new generations of UHNWIs are being built. CFTE would like to create a course that reflects the diversity of the industry. That’s why we aim to collaborate with thousands of bankers and industry experts around the world, by asking them their views on what is important to include in the course. Feedback on the course is open to anyone who wishes to share their insights on the ground. To reward the time and effort to provide feedback, CFTE will send contributors a complimentary course about NFTs. The programme is extremely timely for Private Bankers or those aspiring to enter the industry when digital finance has taken work by storm. To help bankers keep pace with the newest developments in financial technology, the programme will aim to be created to get them the insights they need. The ultimate goal being to help bankers have better discussions with clients and be able to easily communicate what matters to them today. This will not only help meet the new goals and objectives of UHNWIs and HNWIs, but also help bankers discover new avenues to manage and grow their client’s wealth. The programme is open for pre-registrations for those interested and who wish to be updated when we launch. We are also currently accepting feedback and views on the programme content to structure the final programme.
