London, 6 of October 2022 – The Centre for Finance, Technology and Entrepreneurship (CFTE) is proud to be joining the Singapore Fintech Festival 2022 – organised by the Monetary Authority of Singapore and Elevandi – as an official knowledge partner. CFTE will be hosting a roundtable to address challenges faced by the financial sector regarding the new skills in financial services to drive resilience and innovation to fuel the industry’s growth.
In a changing world that challenges governments, organisations and individuals, resilience is an overarching theme at the heart of Singapore Fintech Festival 2022. With this core mission in mind, CFTE will lead a roundtable about the new skills and knowledge in finance to help all stakeholders in becoming a digital-resilient and future-ready workforce.
Other knowledge partners of SFF leading a roundtable at Elevandi Insight Forum, along with the Monetary Authority of Singapore, Milken Institute, Institute of International Finance, BIS Innovation Hub, Escape 75, Ecosystm, and the Singapore Fintech Association.
The forum consists of invite-only, in-depth roundtable organised in partnership with policymakers, multilateral agencies and NGOs. The Forum is designed to bring senior government officials from the public sector and C-level attendees from the private sector together to address challenges faced by the financial sector and to drive key actionable outcomes such as policy development, industry whitepapers and lighthouse projects.
Addressing the new skills gap in financial services
The roundtable, led by CFTE Co-founder and SFF Ambassador Huy Nguyen Trieu, will be “Addressing the new skills gap in financial services”. In a changing environment, there is a widening skills gap for those who cannot adapt to the new digital world. Identifying the skills gap in financial services to develop digital-resilient and a future-enabled workforce is a priority for governments. But how can governments, regulators and other policy-makers be at the core of this progress? CFTE is inviting governments, regulators and other policy makers to share their analysis and experience.
Following the roundtable, CFTE will be publishing an industry-leading report jointly with SFF, to offer key actionable insights for the ecosystem.
In addition, CFTE Co-founder and SFF Ambassador Huy Nguyen Trieu will be mentoring in Pay It Forward – a platform for experts from the FinTech sector to offer mentorship and guidance to those who would find it most useful. Mentees will have a chance to join Huy’s mentorship session, and deep-dive on specific advice for FinTech individuals and companies.
