April 17th, 2024: CFTE (Centre for Finance, Technology and Entrepreneurship) is thrilled to announce its successful collaboration with Passerelles Numériques as the knowledge partner for the “Navigating the Shifting Landscape in an AI World” roundtable, held on April 17th in Singapore. This insightful event brought together thought leaders and industry experts to explore the pressing need for upskilling and reskilling the workforce with AI across all professions.
The rapidly changing landscape of AI and Generative AI (GenAI) is transforming most jobs, prompting a critical question: How can organisations and institutions equip professionals with the tools to successfully navigate these changes and embrace the coming age of AI?
The roundtable delved into this question, offering pivotal insights to guide the adaptation and integration of AI in the workforce.
Here are some key takeaways from the roundtable:
Strategy and Mindset: Understanding the fears and hesitations around AI adoption is crucial. Terms like FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) have evolved into FOGI (Fear of Getting Into AI) and FOBO (Fear of Becoming Obsolete). Addressing these behavioural responses is key to effective reskilling and upskilling at an organisational level.
Identifying AI Use-Cases: Mapping the archetypes of AI use-cases is an effective strategy for bridging the AI skills gap. This approach combines technical skills with communication frameworks, strategy, and critical thinking.
Trusting the Learning Process: Leaders must articulate and chart the course of change, being patient, communicative, and responsive to their workforce’s needs in this evolving landscape.
Sustainability in AI Adoption: Organisations must recognise the need for systemic accountability and commit to managing AI’s environmental impact by designing structured solutions.
