Central banks and financial institutions are increasingly allocating resources to leverage technologies for cybersecurity; recent initiatives include the European Central Bank (ECB) introducing its cyber resilience stress test in 2024. This includes testing over 100 banks on how banks would respond to and recover from a severe cyberattack featuring different hypothetical scenarios where all preventive measures can be taken.
