On June 6th 2022, CFTE hosted Chris Skinner’s “Digital for Good” Book Launch Event. The main objective of the event was to discuss how finance and technology could be the solution to building a better, more sustainable world.
The event was composed of the speech given by the author, Chris Skinner, which was then followed by a panel discussion with our guests:

- Gihan A.M. Hyde, Founder & CEO, CommUnique
- Tram Anh Nguyen, Co-founder, CFTE
- Viola Llewellyn, President & Co-Founder, Ovamba Solutions, Inc.
In his speech, the author of the book, Chris Skinner, highlighted the importance of discussing the future of banking and FinTech from different perspectives. He had reached out to many leaders in those fields, who had provided their insights and contributed to the book.

He also shared his motives for writing “Digital for Good”. One of the things that inspired him was the need to make sure that business is done in a “socially useful” manner. Its purpose should be creating communities and looking after future generations. As opposed to being all about profit.
During the panel discussion, our guests had the opportunity to share their views and hopes for the future of FinTech, Banking and the role of Education as the driving force behind the change in those fields. Those changes, being fundamental for the functioning of the society and employment prospects, are also necessary for the survival of our planet and providing a better future for the next generations to come.
