FUMO Podcast launches by exploring the $35 trillion revolution in real world assets tokenisation

London , March 5 – Centre for Finance, Technology and Entrepreneurship (CFTE) launched its new season of FUMO, the Future of Money podcast, with its first episode gaining over 330,000 views on YouTube, exploring the groundbreaking $35 trillion transformation in real-world asset tokenisation.

FUMO: Future of money podcast, stands out as a unique and engaging platform in the realm of financial innovation. The announcement of the new season comes on the back of a packed 2023 series that included dozens of CEOs, senior leaders such as Anne Boden (CEO, Starling Bank), Jonathan Larsen, (Chief Innovation Officer, Ping An Group) or Dilip Abse (CEO, NPCI), underscoring FUMO’s commitment to bring authoritative voices to its global audience.

2023 also saw the return of in person podcasts, with recordings during Singapore Fintech Festival, Abu Dhabi Finance Week, Point Zero Zurich or Paris Blockchain Week.

This first episode of FUMO featured the founders of XDC Network, Ritesh Kakkad and Atul Khekade, who are in a unique position to share insights on the power of blockchain to make a real-world impact. Since its launch in 2017, XDC Network has been driving transformation in trade finance and digital transactions. The episode centered around the applications of Blockchain applied to real world assets and discussed Atul’s work on permissioned blockchain for major Asian banks and Ritesh’s experience with tech companies such as Microsoft, and how it could apply to real world assets.

In the episode Atul explained XDC’s focus on real world assets “If you look at the overall real world asset economy, it could be probably $30 to $40 trillion. No one knows the numbers, how big these are. And blockchain as a technology really stands out to solve problems of that scale”

It was a very appropriate topic to kickstart FUMO, and looking ahead, listeners can expect a continuous lineup of exceptional guest speakers to share their experience of building the future of finance.

Next on FUMO will be Alex Manson of SC Ventures, a visionary leader who has spearheaded $1bn in investments in the last 5 years. This series will also feature Dr. Shonali Krishnaswamy, a professor turned entrepreneur who sold her AI startup to an insurance company.

Our upcoming guest on the show is Williams Bailey, CEO and Co-founder of Bolero, who as of today have secured €2M to build the leading music IP investment infrastructure.
