Ibrahim Muhammed is a professional with over 25 years of experience in payments, global money transfers or payment systems. Currently, he is managing Finxplor, a payments consultancy in the UK. He has taken a wide variety of courses with CFTE, ranging from Conversational AI to Open Banking, to broaden his horizons of the Fintech space that goes beyond payments.
CFTE: What made you choose CFTE?
Ibrahim: I learned about CFTE through a business associate who had enrolled in the first course launched by CFTE – Around Fintech in 8 Hours. This was my first course with CFTE and I thoroughly enjoyed the quality of the training and the content. This led me to continue my journey of learning more about emerging technologies in the Fintech space with CFTE. CFTE brings together world class subject experts who are practitioners in various domains of Fintech and the content of delivery is exceptional, particularly focusing on upskilling payment professionals in the industry.
To keep myself up-to-date and in pace with the technological developments in the financial services space, I have completed various courses with CFTE such as Fintech Foundation, AI in Finance, Open Banking Platforms Specialization, Conversational AI in Banking.
Another exciting experience I had with CFTE was completing 2 of their Extrapreneurship programs whereby I got to learn actual business cases working with experts like Uber and Revolut. Apart from these courses, I have also completed a course with MIT in AI and Its Implications on Business Strategy and a course with Said Business School (University of Oxford) on Blockchain Strategy Programme. I am always eager to learn more about the emerging technologies in the financial services and keen to apply them in my consulting services to various clients.
CFTE: As a payments professional, what motivated you to learn about these topics?
Ibrahim: The financial services industry is going through a revolution with new technologies that are shaping the way financial services are offered. Fintech has disrupted the traditional norms of doing business and has brought a new dimension of meeting specific customer needs by bringing innovative products that are cost effective and enable customers to transact anytime anywhere. Being a consultant catering to various start-ups and incumbents in the payment space, it was therefore crucial for me to learn about such disruptive technologies.
CFTE: How did you apply the skills and knowledge acquired through the courses in your career?
Ibrahim: As a Payments Professional, the skills and knowledge I had acquired through various courses with CFTE helped me guide my clients to build the right business models, products and incorporate best practices related to digital transformation and customer experience.
